Renewed with permission and refused to refund

I no longer owned a dog but this company still automatically renewed the policy. I was busy with my baby at the time and missed the credit card charge, until I checked my annual credit card report and I was shocked that they charged me $478 for a dog I didn't have! I contacted them and they refused to refund that money.

This is why it is important to read contracts before signing them. The contract explicitly states that it will automatically renew unless you cancel it. It was your responsibility to cancel your own coverage after you no longer owned the dog, not theirs. Always always always read before signing a contract. Unless it's an Apple ITunes update. Because no one reads that.

not sure why you would let them get away with that - you could take them to small claims court if you do not have a dog it is fraud and your credit card company should reverse the charge
