We adopted our Chocolate Lab at 4 months oldfrom a Lab Rescue Society he was healthy except for a mild case of Otitis (ear infection) and an irritated paw. We immediately signed up for insurance through VPI. 4 months later we noticed a slight linp so after xrays we learned our Gus has Elbow Dysplasia. According to VPI because of the irritated paw previously on his medecal record that indicated concern of lameness, the elbow dysplasia is considered a pre-existing condition. Needless to say he was also treated for an war infection shich was also considered a pre-existing condition since he was seen for this before our enrollement period. I even purchased the best covereage VPI offered and I ended up paying out more money each month with them covering hardly nothing. Absolutely a waste of money.
