My 1 year old Doberman, Boo decided one day it would be great fun to shred and consume part of a bath towel. He passed parts of it on his own, but a few days later he quit eating and was feeling terrible. A few vet visits and one emergency vet later, we had a $2,700 biohazard section of towel. I submitted my claims a few days later and received my checks in the mail about 14 days later. VPI covered more than 50% of the surgery, plus a lot of Boo's prior blood work and diagnostics before the emergency surgery. All in all, they paid out a little over $2,000! In short, I'm so pleased I signed up with them. We only have the emergency coverage (for instances like this!) but it is so worth it! I will definitely remain a loyal customer.
