I have a Mini Schnauzer that's approaching 14 years old and have had insurance with VPI for most of her life. About Labor Day of last year Graphite was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. X-rays, ultrasounds, surgery and chemo all came into play through the end of 2009. All in all the costs have totaled about $5,000. Thanks to the full policy we have on her with VPI including their cancer rider, we've received most of that back. I can't tell you how much that meant, especially over the holiday season. Years ago she got really sick and had to spend the night at the vet's. It came to over $400 and again, we got almost all of it back from the insurance company. I can fax the claim from my house, get an email the next day it's in process, check the status online and usually have a check in my hands in 3-4 weeks. I'm immensely pleased with the service I've received and will keep a policy with them for any furry companion in my life.
