When my 1 1/2 year old cockapoo, Zelman, ate a plastic bag with a cookie in it, I was told it "had to be brought up". I was at the vet for about 2 hours while they "brought it up" and waited until Zellie stopped vomiting. During the time he was being attended to, I read every single piece of literature in the waiting room. That is where I found the PetPlan brochure. With the help of an adivisor on the phone, I signed Zel up for the Bronze coverage with no co-insurance and a $200 deductable. As every pet owner would agree, I hoped never to have to use this. Now Zelman is 4 1/2 and he recently came down with a sudden autoimmune blood disease and he had to be hospitalized in ICU for 9 nights. He needed 4 blood tranfusions, many IVs and lots of medication. His bill upon discharge was $5,700.00. When I called PetPlan to double check his coverage, they assured me, that my plan covered everything (minus the $200 deductable). When I asked if they would cover his medications (at least 6 months worth - on 6 different meds), I was assured they he was covered. What a relief!! Not only did I receive a check only one week after faxing his bills, they truley cared about how I was coping and how my little guy was doing! They even said to give him a big kiss from PetPlan. Since then, my rates DID NOT increase (becuase of the claim(s)). He is still insured and feeling much better. I would recommended PetPlan to anyone and I can't say enough wonderful thinkgs about them.
