When I got my beautiful two year old chocolate lab/mix, Angel, from the East Valley shelter, the first thing I did was to get her an insurance policy, especially one that dealt with emergencies. I have had many experiences with pet emergencies that cost a fortune. And of course, all of the emergency experiences happened on a holiday, weekend or late at night. The cost of these emergency visits was reason enough to take out insurance on this new family member. This gave me some peace of mind should anything happen to my little Angel.
