I have eight dogs insured with VPI. Going back several years, my first experience was with my Pom and a severe eye injury. They covered everything promptly. Then my Rott was diagnosed with malignant hystiocytosis, they covered her spleenectomy and we were set to start chemo and the cancer spread within two weeks of surgery and, sadly, they even covered her euthanasia. Currently, my pit-X had 23 lumps removed which some are hemangiosarcoma and once they received the biopsy reports, they sent more money. They covered 90% of all the costs of his surgery and paid within two weeks of submitting the claims.
