I was just on hold with customer service for almost an hour and finally hung up in frustration. I just recently got pet insurance through my job for my new puppy. He went in for a puppy wellness check (nothing was wrong with him) including vaccines and heart worm and flea/tick prevention. I was shocked when I put in my claim and was only reimbursed $40 for my $240 bill, and the EOB stayed that the maximum was reached for the year. They do a puppy vaccine pack, where you pay up front for 4 vaccines, and he got the first vaccine, and everything else in the puppy pack was submitted to your company and should be covered based on the information I was provided as part of the preventative/wellness option I am paying for each paycheck. Not only did it not get reimbursed to me, as was promised when I purchased this policy, it also looks like none of my money went towards my deductible either, so what is the point of paying over $60 per month for what appears to be no coverage at all?
I’m not happy at all, and this is not what I signed up and am paying for. My wellness visit for my dog should have been fully covered, and if not, it should have at least gone towards my deductible. As far as I am concerned, there is absolutely no reason to keep this insurance plan.
