I have had this insurance for 8 years for my Boston Terrier, and it has paid for itself every year. I do not have the basic annual exam coverage as I did not find that cost-effective, but I do have health and cancer coverage. I made sure I received a list of breed-specific exclusions prior to signing on for the insurance so there were no surprises. I have had no problem with any claims submitted, although I have not had a majorly horrific medical condition requiring thousands of dollars for surgery so I can't attest to that. But, basically, I would recommend this insurance to anyone. Just do your homework and research the coverage and exclusions. Yes, insurance is pricey, but considering the alternative, for me it's worth it.
