I am happy with my VPI insurance. It is not going to do you a whole lot for routine stuff that costs 100-200 bucks, but it will help you out alot if you have major expenses. I had VPI for a previous dog when was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma. If it wasnt for VPI, I would not have been able to afford all of the treatments for her. We lost her in the end, but at least with VPI I felt better about it, knowning that I had given it my all to give her a chance. I am still a current customer with a new chocolate lab that I adopted. No complaints. But you do need to be an educated consumer. VPI will pay out a certain amount for each aliment. Not what your vet charges. So you need to be very educated on your policy. If you go to a vet that is double the cost of another down the street, you will not get reimbursed more. Just make sure you are very familiar with the payout amounts.
