My dog got a bacteria called pseudomonas, it is the most resistant to antibiotics. It comes from dirt this then caused him to have bronchitis and Embrace declared it was genetic and paid $63, out of $3000 in bills. I had bronchitis every spring as a kid it was not genetic and it went away. I am considering if I need insurance.I'm not a happy client, I feel deceived. I figure if he breaks his leg they will find some way to declare that a genetic disease.

Was it "pre-existing" because the client got insurance after the dog was diagnosed? I am trying to obtain all the information I can before I make a decision on who I go with as an insurer. Thank you!

I just wanted to clarify that this claim was not covered because it was pre-existing; pseudomonas is not a genetic condition.
And just to note, Embrace policies do cover genetic and hereditary conditions.
