We have been denied on most of our claims with ASPCA as pre-existing when they didn't happen until she was on the plan for 9 months. According to their policy, its not considered pre-existing if it has been cured or not treated for 180 days. How can something new be pre-existing? They don't return calls either and when you ask about their explanation as to why it was denied, you will get different answers to whoever you talk to.
