My dog had emergency surgery for an abcess tooth. They deny the claim calling it "periodontal disease", of which my Vet NEVER diagnosed, or was written on any of the paperwork. How do they know this???? Did they do the surgery?? Not good. Bad customer service I am still fighting them...go somewhere else., Very deceptive

Abscessed teeth in dogs are caused by periodontal disease or fractures. Treatment of broken teeth is covered when they’re broken due to trauma that occurs after the policy effective date. Broken teeth caused by trauma that occur prior to the policy effective are pre-existing conditions. Pre-existing conditions and periodontal disease are listed on our website and on the Policy From as specific exclusions to the policy. If you’d like to provide additional documentation we didn’t have when we first reviewed the claim, we would be happy to re-evaluate your claim. Instructions on submitting appeals are in your policy or you can call Customer Care at 877-738-7237 and we’ll be happy to email you a copy and answer any questions you might have about the appeals process.
