Huge premium spikes

I recently had my dog's policy renewed after 3 years of having 24 pet watch. Our premium increased from $34 per month to $56 per month with no notification. Our annual policy renewal notification did not include the dollar value for the premium. When I discussed with customer service, I was told they had a significant increase in their cost of coverage in the US and Canada and thus had to spike premiums.

Same thing just happened to me. I have had them for 5 years. My coverage went from 48$ last year to 77$ this year. I was told it was because they have a new underwriter.

Your notification of the premium increase would have been included in your policy documents. In the booklet they send it includes the upcoming billing schedule. They also send the renewal documents more than two months before your renewal date to allow for time to call and ask questions or make changes.
