Terrible- lied to by agent for a cat adoptee with eye issue-

I adopted a cat from the shelter with an eye issue and she came with 30 days free PetFirst insurance. I called to inquire about an extension because the eye issue didn’t clear up and was told very helpfully that I should extend it one or two months to make sure the coverage would be there until the eye issue cleared up. Not helpful because she failed to tell me that the insurance doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions. Never had pet insurance before; never will again. What a hook and a lie to “give” free pet insurance for 30 days with an adoption when it doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions. The only reason I signed up was because of the pre-existing condition and the agent didn’t tell me that the insurance wouldn’t cover it. Telling me to extend the insurance to cover my concern was tantamount to a lie.
