My pet is healthy and only submitting a claim for a non-routine vet exam because I thought my pet was sick but she ended up being fine and nothing wrong with her. I chose PetPlan because they are touting to be the insurance company that covers this. Unfortunately, they make the process tedious (i.e. long processing times of a month). I have already provided them full vet records from three different clinics even including the one from the breeder's vet of which they wanted me to provide a full record of. I had to call to bring to their attention that I have put a note in the email I had sent with the original attachments that I have included the breeder's vet clinic records. My claim is $99 and the deductible is $250. Is it worth the trouble? No. Am I able to test their service before I actually really need one? Absolutely! And because of this I will use Trupanion for direct billing for my other kitten as I don't want to go through this trouble.
