You pay for nothing useful to be covered

I had the insurance for one month and it was useless. My cat had diarrhea so I took him to the vet. First Pet Partners says they can't help me, my plan doesn't cover worms. I say we don't know what's causing the diarrhea, we don't know if it's worms. Then I get a denial email saying that I wasn't approved because the onset was in the 5 day waiting period of starting the insurance. Which is a lie, the onset date was a week after the waiting period, which I put on the claims form. This insurance was useless, nothing was covered and the general wellness plan is an expensive additional cost. I'm still fighting them to get coverage because they are making up reasons not to reimburse me.

Hello Juliet,
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you are disappointed with the coverage on your 30-Day Certificate. The 30-Day Certificate is a smaller policy that we offer as a benefit to new pet owners. It is intended to help with minor accidents and illnesses. As with all types of insurance, there are waiting periods and exclusions. We try to make our Terms and Conditions that we send upon enrollment, as understandable as possible to avoid any confusion. As far the onset date, our claims team uses your veterinarian’s medical records to determine diagnoses and onset dates. If you have any questions or need more clarification, we would be more than happy to speak with you. Please ask for Adam or Jasmin.
