My 10 year old yorkie, Gizmo started having problems moving his bowels Sunday afternoon. By 11 PM he was in a lot of pain so off to Marple Animal Hospital we went. Bloodwork, x-rays, medication and the fact that it was considered an "emergency" made for a costly visit. The x-rays showed that he was very constipated. He was given an enema some meds and sent home. We were back again the next morning because there still was no bowel movement. Well, long story short, after yet another visit later on Monday he was finally able to pass everything. Now it's Thursday and he's back to his old self. The total bill for the 3 visits was over a thousand dollars. I submitted my claim through PetPlan Monday evening and today (Thursday) received an email stating that a check was in the mail. Thank you thank you thank you PetPlan. Gizmo has been insured since he was a puppy and we haven't had to file a claim in many years. Though the yearly premiums have gone up considerably, knowing that he does have insurance makes it worth it. Thank you again PetPlan.
