I love Petplan

I have been with Petplan since we got our Yorkiepoo 6 1/2 years ago. For most people who have pets, you know that they become members of the family. I knew I would become attached to "Rambo" all 17 lbs of him when we got him. I also knew that I never wanted to be in a position where I contemplated putting him down because a procedure was too expensive. In doing my research, I felt that Petplan offered the best options and when I called to talk with them, they even explained things that helped me save more money. There representatives are incredibly friendly and understanding. I keep telling friends to please get pet insurance even if it's not Petplan so that they don't have to be stressed about finances. I have one friend who tells me she keeps hearing my voice when she has to pay another Vet bill because she didn't listen too me. I just received a check for $1,542.13 for an operation for a torn ligament Rambo had. The entire bill was $1,713.48 but with my deductible and copay that brought it down. In no way will I complain. If you are going to get pet ins. you need to do it when you first get your pet because Petplan does not cover pre-existing conditions which is understandable. We did this and have been thankful since because Rambo has allergies which cost us over $1,000 per year which Petplan covers the majority, PLUS my yearly premiums won't increase because of the number of claims I make. The premiums do increase as time goes on which again is understandable. Please don't put yourself in a situation where you're making decisions around your family member because of finances. I currently pay less per year in premiums then I pay per month for my wife and my health insurance. Dave, Elizabeth and Rambo
