We've had GoPetPlan Gold for all three of our babies and this review is for our Chocolate Lab. She's 12 years old, and we've been lucky that she's been super healthy, but this is the first time we've had to use our insurance when she had a seizure for unknown reasons. The ER bill was roughly $2k, and with no issues, they mailed me a $1800 check which was minus the deductible. And for the follow up with our regular vet had additional bills which I didn't even know my vet submitted. I didn't see a check, but GPP followed up and asked if we got the two additional checks, which i didn't, and they're mailing it out again. They have been great to work with.
We had another Pomeranian that had tons of issues, and they have been great as well.
THE ONLY THING TO BE AWARE OF is that they have the death benefit, but I didn't know that it was only if your pet passed under a certain age. Our Pom passed away at 10 years and death benefit was not issued. But they have been great with my Pom, I can overlook this, and most likely, it was my fault for not reading the fine print for the Death Benefit.
Also, keep in mind that any pre-existing conditions are not covered, so get this plan early, before you have issues!
