Missy is a 10 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi and is no stranger to Pet Plan.In 2012 she suffered a severe injury to her spine leaving her paralyzed; she was referred to the South Texas Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio. it was diagnosed as Intervertebral Disk Disease and she underwent a very expensive surgery with physical therapy afterward. Pet Plan was very helpful in the claims process and a check was received amazingly fast. Then, on January 15th 2016 she exhibited loss of the use of her right rear legs and could not walk.
Another emergency referral to STVS that treated her in 2012. After thorough
examinations through X-ray, MRI, and various neurological exams, she was diagnosed with FCE, or Fibrocartilagenous embolic myelopathy which affected her spinal cord. Another surgery was not needed, which was a blessing but
the vet bills were huge. Pet Plan was here for us again with very efficient handling of our claim and a check came very promptly. I think this is the best investment in a pet’s health care. I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi also and I hope we never have to file a claim for him but if we do, I know the support is there.
Thanks to all of the pawsatively great people at Pet Plan.
