Out of 10

After the 14-day waiting period my insurance coverage became effective 7/1/2013. During a routine vaccination on 7/3/2013 our Vet noticed that our puppy's bottom left canine baby tooth was growing toward the inside of her mouth. On the next routine vaccination we noticed that the tooth was now poking the roof of her mouth. We took her in for an exam on 7/16/2013 and the Vet recommended removing the tooth and gave us an estimate of $716.00 for the procedure. We submitted the Pre-Authorization form on 7/18/2013 and the next day it was approved for $716.00 - $100.00 (deductible) = $616.00. We did the procedure on 7/24/2013 and submitted the receipts including the 7/16 exam fee of $48.60 which we hadn't included in the Pre-Authorization. Today my claim was closed with a total paid of $764.60 - $100.00 (deductible) = $664.60. My puppy is happy and healthy and hopefully her adult canine tooth will grow correctly. Now I'm just waiting for my check. :)

A followup to my review: my claim was closed on Wednesday, 31 July and I received my check in the promised amount of $664.60 on Monday, 3 August. Less than a week! I couldn't be more satisfied with the prompt service I received! Thanks, Petplan!
