Rozzy, 4-year-old Standard Poodle, has always been a heathly and happy dog until he started exhibiting signs of an ear ache. He was having trouble eating, drinking, and yawning. After many tests to include blood tests, x-rays, CT Scan, and even sedation for examination, it turned out he was suffering from a partial ear canal ablation, which was a developmental abnormality caused by an incompletely formed ear canal. The ear canal was removed completely and the middle ear was cleaned out due to infection. Unfortunately, he lost all hearing in his right ear, but he is now pain-free and a happy boy because of PetPlan pet insurance. Cost of surgery and doctor bills: $3,000.
