I've had PetPlan for 2 1/2 years for my 2 Pomeranians and submited many claims. Both my dogs have luxated patella's and I take them both to a veternarian that treats them with Chinese herbs. PetPlan is the only insurace that pays for this treatment, according to the vet's office staff. The claims are easly filled out and paid usually with 2 weeks of submission. But what really puts PetPlan above the rest is that it covers all conditions for a pet’s lifetime, not just in the policy year that the condition develops. With most pet insurance, if a codition is diagnosed in one year, it becomes a pre-existing condition after the next renewal. This is a very important difference as some conditions do not need treatment for years. I learned this the hard way. If you have a pet, you need insurance. No one would want to make the choice between care for their pet and the ability to pay for that care.
