Be Careful

Out of 10

First off, their deductible is a per visit/illness deductible, not a yearly deductible.
Then, they will look for any possible reason to deny your claim. I rescued my dog in September. In October I brought him to the vet and he was diagnosed with separation anxiety, which was before I had coverage with PetPlan. In November I signedu p for PetPlan. Then in February the vet noticed a broken tooth and said he needed to have it pulled to avoid future infection, since the pulp was exposed. I submitted a pre-authorization claim to PetPlan and was denied. They stated his broken tooth was a pre-existing condition based on his separation anxiety since the vet wrote in his records that the tooth was most likely broekn from chewing on his crate. There is no PROOF that is how he broke his tooth. So I've paid $160 to PetPlan for nothing.

We had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE AS YOU! Rude customer service, and we were told that separation anxiety can't start overnight, even though it wasn't diagnosed until after we had pet insurance.. so they counted it as a preexisting condition.
