Yalo is my two-year-old Chocolate Lab Mix who is rambunctious and very head-strong. She recently got into a scuffle with the neighbor's dog that led to her needing to go to the vet. I took her to The Drake Center in Encinitas where the sweet vet, Dr. Amanda Moore, recommended that she get some stitches. After Yalo was cared for at the vet, I picked her up and my bill was $429. Without any worry, I paid the vet the amount owed, went home and downloaded a claim form off Pet Plan's website, and faxed it to Pet Plan's office. Within a couple days, I received notification that they were sorry to hear about Yalo's injury, but that they had received my claim. If I wanted to, I would be able to track the progress of the claim by logging onto my account, but I didn't have to worry about it because I knew it wouldn't be an issue.
After a few days after getting my notification from Pet Plan, I received a check for $379. The only deduction that was made was my $50 copay amount. As for everything else, it was reimbursed.
Pet Plan is the insurance company I always recommend to my friends with animals that are considering insurance. I have had nothing but a positive experience through them.
