Not Happy So Far

We decided we should purchase pet insurance for our young golden retriever because he is active in competition and hunting. I did eextensive research and decided after reading many reviews to go with PetPlan. While the initial sign up process was easy, I just had to file my first claim and they are giving me hassles stating it was a pre-existing claim. My dog received a wound on May 1 and was taken to the vet the same day. It also happened on what I was told would be my first effective date. Coincidental, yes, but the wound did occur on May 1 and they are denying the claim stating my policy was not in full effect. I have forwarded the email they sent me stating the effective date of the policy and now they are dragging their feet in processing anything.
Not off to a good start - I think I will look elsewhere after the first quarter is up with them. I've asked three times to get a hard copy of a policy mailed and I've still never received one...

I completely retract this review. PetPlan contacted me and we have resolved the issues. Turns out it was a mistake, a learning curve on their part, and they have made everything right!

It is good that you retract your comment but your 1/10 is lowering the average rating for this company you should completely remove it or post another to offset it.
