We're still waiting for the Veterinarian's notes!

If you believe Pet Plan's on site advertising, they would have you believe they save pet owners hundreds of thousands of dollars. DON'T BELIEVE IT! They have a well established system where as every time you call them to get an update on a claim, their patented answer is "We are waiting for more paperwork from the Veterinarian."
Our ACD became ill almost over night. She was totally listless, would not eat and just laid in her dog house covered with a towel. The diagnosis was not good. She had contracted 'Valley Fever' (living in Tucson, AZ.) which caused a serious swelling over her right eye according to the Vet. and prevented her from climbing the two steps from the patio into the house.

In the past four months I have repeatedly called Pet Plan's claim center. The Veterinarians office said the doctor who treated Lady-Gray has faxed his records from the office visit to Pet Plan on three separate occasions, yet I get the standard answer as stated above "We are waiting for more paperwork from the Veterinarian."

They will drag out a settlement if you figure in the $200 deductible and the 80%
reimbursement until the pet owner finally gives up. In Lady's case the settlement amounts to $180.00 for the office visit and medication for 6 months. Not something that would bankrupt the company! To this day there is nothing on their website that even mentions I have a claim pending. I also read somewhere on their site that to cancel a policy you have to write or call a town in England!
