My little dog required surgery for severe peridontal disease. If the dog did not have the surgery he would have contracted an infection and possibly die. My vet thought that this would be covered as I had done preventative steps to avoid this outcome. Short story, I have paid over $4,000 to this company and submitted a claim for $700 and was denied, even though my vet recommended the treatment. I thought I was doing the right thing by getting pet insurance but I will not do so again. I truly believe this company is not out for the interest of your pet but the almighty dollar. Interestingly enough, if my dog had sustained an injury to his mouth like break his jaw, break teeth it would have been covered. I am furious!!! What was I paying for? Please, please put the funds in a separate bank account if you are planning to insure your pet and avoid the lining their pockets. Extremely extremely disappointed. Wonder if they will contact me to thank me for the "positive" review.

Elizabeth, we do appreciate your review, positive or not. I noticed that you have spoken with your claim representative on Saturday and have gone over the claim details as to why we were not able to cover the claim for severe periodontal disease.... We regret that this claim was not approved, however, if consistent symptoms are already present at the time you sign up for coverage, which it was in this case, the symptoms for dental disease were pre-existing to the policy being taken out. If you have more questions around your claim, please contact us directly for further discussion.
