You are asking for trouble with Banfield

Took our 12 week old sick cocker to Banfield and agreed to their Wellness plan, 3 months later our puppy was still having problems, and the wellness plan was an absolute joke, I would advise prospective clients to avoid banfield and especially the wellness plan. I couldn't in good conscience continue bringing my puppy to Banfield so I just paid the remaining cost for the plan and moved on as a complete waste of time and money. Now my puppy is doing great after receiving treatment from another Vet. Chalking it up to "Live and Learn"

Same thing happened us! We have a Wheaten Terrier and she had allergies. The Banfield Vet gave her a medication that caused her kidneys to shut down. As a result we had significant outside vet bills b/c Banfield couldn't get her in on an emergency basis. We had several other incidents with Banfield in which their "Insurance Plan" didn't cover. The plan was useless. We tried to cancel with Banfield, but we were told our plan ran to the end of the year. The customer service representative told us to call back at the end of December and it could be cancelled. We called today (12/30) but we were told by - yep Customer Service - that they should have told us that the "end of the year" for us is April 2016!! What a joke! I am in the process of filing a Complaint with both State and US Consumer Protection Agency. Hope everyone who reads this will too!
