I work at an animal hospital where we can recover discounts on certain items but nothing is ever free. I signed up for insurance in case my dog, a pug, ends up with a chronic condition or becomes in need of a big procedure - both are inevitable. I was very happy with my recent claim where he needed to have a broken tooth extracted. Instead of dismissing the claim because a large portion of it was listed under the "dental bundle" (not covered), the woman handling my claim took it upon herself to contact my office & ask for the cost of each item that could be covered so that I would get the best reimbursement possible. How nice!
