Worthless policy

My cat has arthritis yet they refuse to cover the medication that the vet prescribed. Treatment was not covered as it was diagnosed when the policy took effect. They hound you for details and then deny the claim anyway. Will not be renewing.

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Pets Best strives to provide excellent coverage to our customers. Our policy clearly states we cannot cover a condition that manifests before coverage is effective. The policy for your pets was purchased on March 31, 2014, and at that time there was a 3 day waiting period on accident coverage and a 14 day waiting period on illness coverage. This would make the effective date for illness coverage April 15, 2014. Sir Kitty was diagnosed with arthritis on March 29, 2014 (2 days before you purchased the coverage). We appreciate your business, and are happy you chose Pets Best to cover your pets. We can cover any new conditions that start or have started after the policy start date.
