My dog had to have surgery to remove a tube sock that she ate whole. It couldn't pass and blocked the area that the stomach feeds into the intestines. The bills to my vet were addressed right away. Just yesterday I received compensation for surgergy. However, during this event we had to take her to an emergency center on a Sunday when my vet was closed. The bill for this has yet to be addressed. I sent an email to the person who handled my claim explaining the timeline and who saw my dog and the fact that the emergency center bill has yet to be addressed. The Trupanion person did not reply to my email. I recently sent a second copy of the bill and claim form to Trupanion for the emergency visit. I would have rated Turpanion as a 10 if not for this problem.
