I work in a veterinary specialty clinic and even with my employee discount the cost of veterinary care is extraordinary. A fellow vet tech recommended PetPlan to me after her cat developed an obstructed bile duct. She had nothing but good things to say about the ease of use and the good customer service.I shopped around and read reviews online and ended up getting a PetPlan policy for my lab mix. The website is very easy to use and straight-forward. My dog recently had a cancerous tumor removed which required a primary vet, a board certified surgeon and an oncologist. PetPlan reimbursed me exactly what my plan allowed. Every rep I have spoken with at PetPlan has been friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. They have made dealing with a stressful situation easier, both on my pocketbook and on me.
My only complaint is that your billing history and payments are not available online. I elected to pay my bill quarterly instead of annually and it is auto-deducted from my checking every 3 months. Not a huge deal, I'm just the kind of person that will forget it's coming and get a little surprise when I look at my online statement.
