I've been waiting weeks for them to pay my claim. They keep asking for more records. They should have them all by now. I know they're trying to dig up something that makes a bacterial infection a pre-existing condition. We spent $14000 getting our dog better. The $5000 Pet's Best is supposed to cover sure would be nice. They've already denied our claim for our other dog's tooth extraction claiming it was "periodontal disease" when she's a small dog with an under bite with no gingivitis. At least that one was less than our deductible (but it would be nice to have it applied).

They processed our claim. Somehow our vet bill was only $1300 according to Pet's Best. It was $13000. Complaint will be filed if this is not fixed.

Hi Julie – We hope your dog is feeling better. We were unable to locate your policy to look into details of your specific claim. If you contact us, we’d be happy to help you further. Once we have all necessary details it typically takes us 5 days or less to process a claim. For newer policies, it is necessary for us to determine whether or not a condition was present before the policy went into effect. Also, while periodontal disease is not a covered condition, we do cover extractions due to dental illnesses such as resorptive lesions, oral cancer and stomatitis. We’d be happy to review your claim if you have additional information we didn’t receive at the time of the claim.
