We purchased PetPlan insurance for our dog, Jax, when we first adopted him around five years ago. Since then he has had two major - and expensive- health issues: a tumor (fortunately non-malignant) behind one of his eyes which necessitated the removal of the eye and, more recently, a herniated cervical disc. We have been more than pleased with the manner in which PetPlan has handled these claims: the paperwork we needed to submit as documentation was very straightforward, the staff were quick to supply answers to any questions we had, and the payments we received were exactly what they should have been. Moreover, after we received the payments, we were amazed to receive phone calls and e-mails from one of their customer service representatives to find out how Jax was doing. This is a company that really cares about its clients. I can't imagine why anybody would purchase pet insurance from any of its competitors. I only wish PetPlan provided health insurance for people - I would be the first in line to buy it!
