I have had PetPlan for my pets for years but I've never had to file a claim. Now, in the past month I've had to file claims for BOTH my cat and my dog. My dog ate two chocolate bars a few weeks ago. Thank goodness I took her to the vet immediately, and thank goodness PetPlan could help me recover that unexpected expense.
Then last week my cat started having diarrhea. I was waiting it out and thought it was just some normal GI upset and was getting better. Then Sunday she woke me up in the middle of the night crying in pain. I immediately rushed her to the ER. Upon examination the vet told me that she felt a mass that was probably malignant, but that we'd need an ultrasound (which is expensive) to see for sure. I of COURSE had to get the ultrasound. Thankfully the ultrasound did not find a mass, just a lot of inflammation. So a new diet and some medications should get her back to normal.
$2000 over the past few weeks for emergency care is tough. But I'm always going to get them the care that they need. Thank GOODNESS PetPlan has my back and can help me financially when my fur kids need it!
