I have been with Pet First for over 6 years with 3 pets. I had what I thought was there best policy since it even included well care. This was change when they called me in 2009. Until recently, I had been satisfied and thought my pets were protected against any major accidents. Then the disaster happened after paying they over $130 per month on what I thought was premier pet insurance, my one dog tore a CCL, which upon submitting the claim it was rejected due to clause number 17 which excludes this period! No waiting periods etc. When you review the major highlights on the policies front page it appears everything is covered unless you look at all the details page which is difficult even on the website. In my opinion, I feel that I have been scammed for the past 6 years.

I have to agree with you on with being scammed for the last few years. My Sheba was denied of her CCL. Now she has an acute illness which started a few days before anew policy switched over and I have been told that this is a chronic illness. This company have very bad customer service also. I was not allowed to talk to a supervisor I have to wait 3 to 5 days for a return call, and then was hung up on.I have much better treatment and customer service with Trupanion pet insurance..
