Terrible Value

Unless you have a puppy that needs spay or neutering this in my opinion is a terrible value. Nothing but "preventative" is covered and though they do a nice job of letting you know what they think you saved, I don't believe you save a penny. We're going to try an independent Vet and I believe we'll save a lot. It would be a great value if your exposure was limited to the 300.00 per year, (cost of the plan), but almost nothing was covered, so you end up paying the Vet bill plus 300.00. Great HMO concept, FOR THEM...

You'll be shocked when you see how much the independent vet charges. I never walked out of the vet's office with a bill less than $200. I paid $240 for a second opinion after my dog has pancreatitis! Teeth cleaning is 300-500! This service is covered under my plan. I am very happy with Banfield.
