Pets Best claims processing is INCONSISTENT!

I would warn anyone against obtaining a policy through Pets Best Insurance! I've had my pets policies with their Pets Best's NEW underwriter for over 1 year. I had a policies with their previous underwriter for more than a year as well. (I've had policies on my dogs through Pets Best for over 3 years, but they changed underwriters and constantly change their adjusting practices!) The only reason I still have my dogs insured through them is because the dogs have coverage for torn ACL's (which usually is excluded for the 1st year of a policy through most insurance companies). Additionally, both dogs have conditions that would be considered pre-existing if I obtained a policy through a new insurance company as the conditions manifested since the dogs have had Pets Best Insurance. Pets Best Insurance claims processing has been completely inconsistent; I never know when they will pay for something and when they won't. In fact, I have had claims processed by the head of the claims processing department repeatedly, and he has processed the claims completely different - it seems he'll pay something one day, and not the next. You can't count on knowing how your claims will be processed at all, therefore, you can never really know if your dogs treatment will be covered - despite what the sales people tell you over they phone (PS- they don't process your claims, they work on commission and will tell you what you need to hear to sign up!).
