My Beethoven, a 10 year old miniature schnauzer, is rarely sick. Generally, the only VPI claims I file for him are annual checkups, vaccinations, and so forth. About a month ago, Beethoven woke up in the morning vomiting and with diarrhea, which he had for 2 days. My vet, Symphony Vet Center, gave us an appointment immediately. Beethoven was very sick, dehydrated, wouldn't eat or drink. The bill ran about $300. I don't ever worry when something like this happens, because I know VPI will cover Beethoven's illness. I also know that they will quickly and efficiently process my claim, and I will get reimbursed within 2 weeks. In the 10 years I have had Beethoven, he's been covered by VPI his whole life. In fact, his health is so good, VPI even offered us the cancer rider at no additional cost. While it's great to have insurance when you don't need it, it's even better to have insurance in the event of an emergency. My little boy got the best veterinary care, and I have peace of mind knowing that VPI covers and protects him. I highly recommend VPI for any pet owner. If you love your pet, there is no better pet insurance.
