My dog (English Mastiff) torn the MCL in her left knee and partially tore the MCL in her right knee in October of 2011. She had surgery for the left knee in December 2012, which failed because the surgery performed was not appropriate for a 150 pound dog. She had repeat surgery (with different vet) in May 2013, which was appropriate for a dog of her size and it helped her immensely. The total cost for the surgeries to her left knee was $4,450, of which $3,650 was covered. She has surgery to repair the right knee in December 2013, which cost $3,200 ALL OF WHICH WAS COVERED AND REIMBURSED BY VPI INSURANCE. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see my dog without pain for the first time in two years. I am very happy with the concern of VPI reps for my dog when I called, and also with the response time of the reimbursements.

I am curious....Have you always had VPI? Seems they would have considered this a pre-existing condition and denied it if you are new. They have sent denials on my pets stating pre-existing. I'm just curious and seeing if you can advise any help.
