Both of my girls are seniors and are thankfully pretty healthy. When Pongo & Tonka have had treatments for back pain and proteinuria, respectively, PetPlan has been great about responding to claims and reimbursing very quickly, always within less than a month. More than anything, we are thankful for the fact that PetPlan does cover alternative therapies that are done under the supervision of my (phenomenal) vet, and most recently approved a pre-authorization for Pulse Electromagnetic Field Therapy which will be really helpful for my little girl. Thanks for staying up to date and accepting of progressive treatments, PetPlan!
Customer service is always exceptional. The two representatives who have helped me most recently were Carly & Jessica, both of whom really made dealing with an insurance company a pleasure (now how often can one say that?). Everyone I've ever spoken to when I call sounds happy to work there, and are always really compassionate about my dogs. It is important to sound upbeat in a world where dealing with health care is frustrating at best. Sounds like a minor thing to comment on, but it's those little things - a soothing, understanding and positive sounding voice when dealing with a family member's health - that make the difference for me.
If I had to indicate any negative at all, it would be that PetPlan often requests for my vet to resend submitted claim forms and/or invoices that were already sent. I chalk this up to PetPlan just being thorough.
