DO NOT GET VPI, they will deny your claims stating "Condition was manifested, or incurred prior to the effective date of your policy, whether or not the condition was discovered, diagnosed or treated." This applies to pretty much every scenario and they will deny the claim making this broad statement. So be very aware if you spend money on insurance and then expect the insurance to cover, you will get a denial in the mail with these exact words and then you will be on the phone to request payment when the policy allows them to deny anything, even things that were not diagnosed or known. I would not say its a scam, but my experience with them is they deny office vists, they deny routine checks if those routine checks find something. Just be aware of the reality.
