It's ok, but I'm overall unimpressed

Out of 10

Like another reviewer here, I was surprised to find that my 20% co-pay is deducted from each visit, even prior to reaching my deductable, meaning it can take a lot longer to reach the deductable. I thought I was pretty close to meeting the deductable after a few visits for an ear infection only to then learn that the deductable must be met for EACH individual problem. So we had to get my dog stiches and multiple follow-ups for bandage changes, etc. and in the end I'm getting reimbursed less than half of what I've paid out of pocket (about 300 out of easily 600 dollars)...As soon as my plan is up I am going to switch to a savings account for my pooch. I already am paying 300 dollars a year to have the insurance, so in the end it's a wash unless we have a major mishap again (though that will still cost me another $200 deductable out of pocket and 20% of the bill)
