The case of the missing toe...

My 7 year old lab boxer mix developed a growth on one of her toe pads. After several trips to our trusted vet and after exploring several non successful options it was concluded that her toe would need to be removed. Not quite as bad as it sounds, you've all seen three legged dogs right? And this was just a toe:) As anyone with pets knows, trips to the vets office usually carry a relatively high price (my vet is wonderful and his services are worth far more than he charges) but with VPI pet insurance that worry is last last thing to be concerned about as they easily handled everything and let me get on with caring for my dog after surgery. Fantastic service, well worth the cost.
