I have been thanking G-d repeatedly ever since deciding to finally make the investment of insuring my pet-baby - Cowboy. The cost of $32 per month covered 100% of emergency hospital visits up to $12k per year; thankfully we've not reached that much yet. With a $100 deductible per incident, our then 9-year old domestic shorthair kitty proved PetPlan was worth it when he decided to get into a tangle with a rescue kitty who'd gotten out of his temporaray room and thought HE was king of the house. Long story short, Cowboy almost lost a "finger" but we didn't have to lose our savings to help him. I give PetPlan an 8 on a scale of 1-10 because my only sorrow is that they don't insure preventative care (if they do, that's a plan we didn't choose) so be sure to research preventative care, such as dental cleanings. Thankfully Cowboy can get his teeth cleaned without anesthesia, so cleanings cost only $180 every six months.
