My poor dog had a liver shunt. Died at age of 4. Left me with abut $6,000 in vet bills, including an expensive operation, of which VPI refunded me ZERO dollars. They said "we don't cover liver shunts becuase it is too common a condition". So what's the point of an insurance policy if it doesn't cover what you are most likely to need it for? Fact is VPI's insurance policy has more exclusions than inclusions. In my experience, this is a horrible insurance company.
