My dogs have better insurance that I do

I have a 12 year old Poodle/Bichon named Willis who had a seizure early one morning in May 2013. He had never had one (that I had witnessed) prior to this. I rushed him to our local emergency vet and had him admitted. The vet verified that it was a seizure and stated that first we needed to determine what caused the seizure and once that was determined we could start a treatment program.
Willis had a battery of tests and a brain MRI. The MRI showed a small lesion in his brain and coupled with the tests all signs pointed to Willis having had a stroke sometime in the recent past. The thoroughness of the tests allowed us to put him on a treatment plan and after a couple of rough first days Willis is back to his old self and has been seizure free since the initial incident.

I filed my claim with Pet Plan about a week or so after the incident and about 14 days after I filed the claim, I received my claim check which reimbursed me about 85% of what I spent. Everything was done electronically, including unsolicited email follow ups on the status of my claim. All I had to do was take care of my pet and they took care of everything else.

This has been my second large (over $4k) claim with this company for Willis. Both claims were handled with little effort from me and have saved me thousands of dollars in the process. I could not be happier with this investment or with the people at Pet Plan. Careful as you may be with your pet, stuff happens. I have told everybody who wil
