I wanted to take this opportunity to thank PetPlan for the prompt payments of all my claims for my Shetland Sheepdog, oZZy. Back in January when he was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (I.M.H.A.) until June, when I lost him, my life for the most part was quite dismal. Not having to worry about the finances certainly helped me get through it. The total amount paid was $7660. There was never a question about coverage and all the payments were made in a timely manner. I am very grateful.I have told many of my friends about how well things went with PetPlan Insurance. I know there was at least one person that took my advice and signed on with the company and another that recently called and asked me what insurance I had. So perhaps that will turn into an additional policy. My other dog, another Sheltie, Willow, is also insured with PetPlan. If I get another dog it certainly will also be insured.
oZZy, will be missed. In addition to being my pal, and a great family pet, he was MACH oZZy. An A.K.C. Master Agility Champion. Since Agility is a team sport oZZy was also my team mate. I lost a lot and it is still very hard to be without him.
A friend that also lost her Sheltie to I.M.H.A. has started an organization, Lyndi’s Legacy, to raise money for I.M.H.A. research.
